Remote Access

TRAQtix can be deployed over the company network - intranet or extranet - or the Internet. This allows users to access TRAQtix from the office or any remote location to have secure access to TRAQtix.

Multi-Platform

TRAQtix's use of Internet-standards technology means that any computer with a Javascript - capable web browser, and/or a Java 1.1 (or newer) virtual machine can be used as a client. And because TRAQtix is based on FileMaker, Inc.'s award-winning database technology, the TRAQtix server works identically on MacOS and Windows 95/98/NT.

Real-Time Project Tracking

TRAQtix allows for time entry via electronic time sheets, a Web browser based timer or an integrated desktop timer. All time entries that are submitted into TRAQtix are immediately entered into TRAQtix central database, where they can be accessed by anyone within the organization authorized to do so. TRAQtix allows for ongoing project monitoring, timely billing and project reports.

The TRAQtix timer Java-based application makes real-time project and time tracking available on the desktop (or laptop!), on MacOS, Windows, and (soon) UNIX based workstations. This facilitates project management and administration of distributed work groups, frequently found in companies with multiple locations or where project members telecommute.

Secured Access

TRAQtix offers two-level of password protected accounts. Each users receives an individual password to provide access at the Administrator or User Level. Only Administrators have access to all data contained in TRAQtix and are able to set up new project or users and assign users to projects. Users can only access data related to the projects they are assigned.

Convenient Time Tracking

Time can be entered into electronic time sheet or automatically tracked with a stopwatch. TRAQtix automatically records the time spent on a project for more accurate and reliable time accounting and eliminates mistakes from manual calculations. TRAQtix has an intuitive user interface that is easy to navigate. It lets anyone immediately start using TRAQtix without having to climb a learning curve.

The Task Detail page allows the project manager to specify the Task Manager as well as assign staff members to the task. Staff members that are not assigned to a task cannot assign time entries to the task.

Clients, projects and tasks can be set up and added efficiently from a web browser. Multiple billing rates and project budgets can be set for enhanced reporting options. TRAQtix provides detailed project data by tracking time by user, client, project, task and category with the possibility of adding notes to track additional information. Managers can define what clients, projects and task a user can charge against to eliminate errors. Reports can be generated quickly. TRAQtix flexible reporting capabilities allow for quick and up-to-date report generation. TRAQtix maintains and reports data from past projects so project managers can more accurately estimate future projects.

TRAQtixís integrated desktop timer lets you take time tracking on the road. This small desktop application enables you to track time even when you do not have access to your company network or the Internet. It is fully integrated with the online TRAQtix application. Client, project and task information can be automatically updated. Time entries are saved within the TRAQtix timer and can be reviewed and edited before they are submitted to TRAQtixís central database.
